Votes have been cast for 182 to 89 percent of the Gujarat assembly. These seats are from 19 districts coming to Saurashtra and South Gujarat.
In the previous assembly elections, BJP registered victory in 67 of these 89 seats. Congress had only 16 seats in hand. Nationalist Congress Party and Janata Dal United, on the other hand, had one seat, whereas in the two seats, the opposition candidates had won.
Saurashtra has 54 assembly seats. In the previous elections, 34 of them won the BJP and the Congress won 20 seats and on the other hand South Gujarat has 35 Assembly seats. From this, the Congress had won on the BJP and the rural seats in the city's seats.
Voting of Patidars will be crucial
Patidar water plays crucial role in Saurashtra assembly seats. There is a large population of Patidars who have been supporting BJP in the previous elections. But this time Patidar Reservation Committee, led by Hardik Patel, is appealing not to vote in BJP's favor. Hardik Patel is Kadva Patel and while Saurashtra has a large number of Leuva Patels. If Leuva Patel joins hands with Hardy, major changes can be seen in Saurashtra.
Sikandar who won in Valsad was the same
Valsad is a very important area in Gujarat. In the last many elections, it has been found that the party's candidate is contesting on the Valsad assembly seat, which becomes the government of the same party in the state. Not only that, the party's candidate wins the Valsad Lok Sabha seat, the party's government becomes in the center.
